Return Policy
Brother International Corporation ("Brother") extends a 30-day Return/Exchange Policy for all
products purchased directly from Brother through its on-line channel Brothermall.com.
Products may be returned for exchange or credit within 30 days of purchase provided that the product is returned
in saleable condition in the original box with all original packing materials including Universal Product Code (UPC),
manuals, any accessories enclosed in that carton and packing slip. Brother reserves the right to charge a 15%
restocking fee if any of the original materials is missing. After 30 days, accessories and parts may only be
returned for an exchange.
In addition, items not eligible for return include:
- opened software
- tampered or altered products; or
- items not meeting any return or exchange requirements set forth in this policy. Defective
software may only be exchanged for the same item.
Exchange or Return Process:
Instructions for initiating the return process are located on the return form which is enclosed in the carton. In
order to initiate the return or exchange process, you must first obtain a Return Authorization (RA) Number. Any
merchandise returned without a corresponding RA Number will not be eligible for exchange or return. To obtain
your RA Number, please contact us toll-free at 1-888-879-3232. Then all returns should be sent to:

Be sure to complete the return form including a brief explanation for the return by selecting an appropriate
return code. Please return the merchandise by some traceable method such as UPS or US Postal Service with
Return Receipt. If you paid by credit card, we will credit the account used for payment so you must provide
the account number used to make the purchase. In all other cases, your refund will be in the form of a corporate
check. You should expect to receive your refund within four (4) weeks of giving your package to the return
shipper. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 7
business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the
time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
NOTE: Brother International Corporation is NOT responsible for lost merchandise.
You will be asked to provide Proof of Delivery should the shipment not be received
by Brother.
Any product purchased that is returned without a promotional item which was included in the original
transaction (e.g., buy a printer, get free photo paper), will have the value of the promotional item
deducted from the amount refunded. This does not include non-saleable items such as phone cards or gift
certificates.
